PureCHAR is great to add in animal bedding, dairy manure pits, and compost.Metzler pureCHAR biochar can be used 10% by volume at the time of compost production; or amend your favorite compost 10% by volume and let percolate together for one to three months. It is not recommended to use biochar in soil that has not been inoculated with biologicals. |

APPLICATIONS
*Application rates listed are suggestions. Adjustments for desired outcome can be made and other application methods can be used.
Making Compost
Add Metzler pureCHAR chip or dust 10% by volume when making compost.
Adding to Finished Compost
Add Metzler pureCHAR chip or dust 10% by volume when adding to finished compost and let percolate together for 2-3 weeks.
Initial Poultry House Bedding
Add 0.20 inches Metzler pureCHAR Chip (not Dust) per square foot in poultry house initial bedding to control ammonia, reduce moisture, increase bird health and improve litter for fertilizer benefit. This would be good application for any livestock bedding.
Livestock Bedding
Sprinkle Metzler pureCHAR Chip (not Dust) as an additive in fresh bedding for livestock or poultry houses after weekly tilling. This helps control ammonia and reduce moisture.
Applying to Crop Fields
Top dress or till in pureCHAR 1/4 to 4 CY per acre until desired outcome is achieved for increased crop output due to increased water holding capacity, nutrient transfer, infiltration, and soil aggregation.
